Price Beat Promise

We don’t price match. We beat it. If you find a lower price on an identical, in-stock product at one of our Selected Retailers, we’ll beat it, subject to the exclusions below.

That’s our Price Beat Promise.

How does it work?

If you spot the same product at a lower price at one of our Selected Retailers, submit a claim through our online Price Beat form with proof of the Selected Retailer’s price. The Selected Retailer’s price must be live at the time you submit your claim. Once your claim is approved, you have 12 hours to add the product to your cart from the Price Beat page and complete your purchase at the beat price. Your beat price will apply to any order you place within those 12 hours, even if we finalise the order on our side afterwards. The 12-hour clock runs from approval and is not reset by adding the product to your cart. We’ll show your exact expiry date, time and timezone when your claim is approved and in your cart.

Working out your Price Beat price: The Price Beat price is 5% below the Selected Retailer's online price at the time you submit your claim. Your Price Beat price is locked in at approval — if the Selected Retailer's price changes after your claim is approved, your Price Beat price is not affected.

Adding to cart: Your approved Price Beat price will only apply if you add the product to your cart from the Price Beat page. Adding the same product to your cart from another page (such as a product detail page or search results) won't apply the Price Beat price.

If you're on Auto Delivery for the product: We'll apply your Auto Delivery discount first, then compare it to your approved Price Beat price. You'll receive whichever price is lower. Auto Delivery and Price Beat discounts don't stack.

Where you have an existing Auto Delivery for the product, your Price Beat will apply to your next scheduled Auto Delivery order only if that order is scheduled to be processed within the 12 hours after your Price Beat is approved. Any later Auto Delivery order will be charged at the applicable Auto Delivery price. The same rule applies if you add the product to an existing Auto Delivery via ‘Ship Once with Auto Delivery’: your Price Beat will apply to that item only if the Auto Delivery order containing it is scheduled to process within the 12-hour window.

To be eligible for a Price Beat claim, the product must be:

• identical to Pet Circle's (same brand, size and format);
• in stock at both the Selected Retailer and Pet Circle; and
• available for delivery to an address in Australia.

The price comparison is inclusive of GST, delivery and any other fees.

Our Price Beat Promise cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or discount applicable to that product (e.g. a multi-buy promotion).

Which retailers are included?

Our Price Beat Promise applies to lower prices found at the following selected Australian retailers (each, a “Selected Retailer”):

Our promise applies to first-party seller pricing from these Selected Retailers only. It does not extend to products shipped or sold by third-party sellers on marketplace or auction websites, and does not apply to retailers outside this list.

We may update the list of Selected Retailers from time to time. The list published on this page at the time you submit your claim will apply. Any Price Beat claim we have already approved will be honoured on its original terms, even if a retailer is later removed from the list.

Are there any other exclusions?

Our Price Beat Promise does not apply where:

• the Selected Retailer’s product is priced as part of a bundle, gift-with-purchase, end-of-line or clearance offer;
• the Selected Retailer’s price results from a customer-specific discount, coupon, loyalty voucher, membership discount, subscription, Auto Delivery or other recurring-order pricing; or
• the product is purchased through Pet Circle Insurance.

Pricing errors, resale and our reservations

Price Beat excludes obvious pricing errors by a Selected Retailer and purchases for resale or wholesale. We'll only decline a claim on these grounds where we have reasonable evidence, and never solely because of a low price or large quantity. If we decline, we'll tell you why and you can provide further information for review. Your Australian Consumer Law rights are unaffected.

Any quantity limit that applies to a Price Beat claim will be the same as the maximum purchase quantity shown on the product page at the time of your claim.

Pricing policies

Sale

Pet Circle runs sales promotions on its catalogue to offer you the best value. When a product is put on sale, it is discounted for a short period of time ranging from 24 hours and up to three weeks and will receive our ‘sale’ badge. The sale period for affected products is usually marked on promotional tiles on our websites, but subject to stock availability. On sale, the discounted price will take precedent with a discount percentage called out against a ‘was price’. Our ‘was price’ is the lower of: (a) the median price at which the product was offered over the period up to 31 days before the promotion starts; and (b) the price at which the product was offered the day before the promotion starts.

Price Drop

Pet Circle monitors the market to beat competition and offer you the best value. As a result, prices may drop outside of sales promotions. When prices are lowered outside of a promotion period, they may receive our ‘price drop’ badge, for a period of up to 14 days or until the price moves once more. When a price has dropped’, we call out the reference price as our ‘was price’, defined as the lower of: (a) the median price at which the product was offered over the period up to 31 days before the price dropped; and (b) the price at which the product was offered the day before the price dropped.
