Frequently Asked Questions about Feliway
Does Feliway smell?
Nope! Feliway is an odourless, synthetic version of the pheromone cats naturally release when they rub up against objects in their environment - or your legs! Feliway helps to reduce your cat's stress levels and promote feelings of harmony and wellbeing.
Which Feliway do I need?
- Feliway Diffuser: best for use in the room (or rooms) where your cat spends most of their time, each diffuser set comes with one refill included
- Feliway Spray: ideal for use in the cat carrier, when staying at the kennels or in areas in the house where the diffuser is unsuitable
- Feliway Feliscratch Solution: provides visual and pheremone signals to your cat to stimulate scratching behaviour in a desired area (ie a scratching post) and redirect it from furniture or curtains

How long does it take for Feliway to start working?
Most owners that reported a noticable difference in their cats did so after 7 days of use. However, there are a number of factors that can play into how effective Feliway can be and how long it takes to work - for this reason, it is safest to wait at least one month before determining whether or not it is suitable for your cat. Because of its long-lasting nature (up to four weeks), once in effect, Feliway is great for other stressful events in your cat's life, such as introducing a new pet or baby to the household, moving home or redecorating, and can help with feline idiopathic cystitis (a lower urinary tract disease exacerbated by stress).
